Every day, Voices For Children CASA volunteers advocate for abused and neglected children involved in the most serious cases of maltreatment in Boulder County. During the holiday season and throughout the year VFC CASA volunteers provide CASA Kids with gifts donated by members of the local community. Often the teens and children we advocate for would receive little or nothing for the holidays if not for the gifts received from our friends and neighbors in Boulder County.
This year we are asking for your help in making sure each CASA Kid receives a present they can call their own. Following are some suggestions for gifts based on the age of CASA Kids:
30 CASA Kids ages 0 though 5 (9 infants age 1 and under)
- Toys, dolls, trucks
- Scarves. gloves and hats
- Baby toys
10 CASA Kids ages 6 though 8
- Toys, games, dolls and trucks
- Scarves. gloves and hats
- Children's books
17 CASA Kids ages 9 through 12
- Board games, puzzles and books
- Gift card for a local movie theater (this is a real treat for the kids)
- Scarves. gloves and hats
- Crafts and Art Supplies
28 CASA Kids ages 13 through 17
- Scarves. gloves and hats
- Gift card for Wal-Mart, Target or local movie theater
- Jewelry, perfume, makeup
- Sporting goods and team wear
- Popular teen books or a bookstore gift card
Teens are the least likely to receive a gift donation; please consider this age group when making a donation.
If you can make a donation, gifts can be brought or mailed to the Voices For Children CASA Office at 2305 Canyon Blvd., Ste. 101, Boulder, CO 80302. Our office is open Monday through Thursday between 9:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. CASA volunteers will begin selecting gifts for their CASA Kid on December 13th, so we ask that donations reach our office by that date. If you have any questions please write to nancy@vfccasa.org or call our office at (303)440-7059.
Please forward this message to friends and family!
Happy Holidays!
