CASA Volunteer Training and Support
All CASA volunteers must complete an initial training that is 40 hours long. Training is offered once a year beginning on the Thursday evening following President's Day (usually the third Monday in February).
Training sessions, held at the Voices For Children CASA Office, are given on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6-9:30 PM and Saturdays from 8:30 AM -4:00 PM over a 2 1/2 week period.

This interactive training covers a variety of topics detailing the role of a volunteer and situations that volunteers may encounter.Training includes:
- Legal issues
- The child welfare system
- Report writing
- Advocacy
- Investigation
- Cultural sensitivity
- Child development
And much more!
Outside speakers will be presenting on a number of topics.
