CASA Day at the Capitol

CASA Day at the Capitol is joining forces with more than 150 Colorado Child Abuse and Neglect Campaign Partners on April 2nd, to officially launch National Child Abuse Prevention Month in Colorado.  WEAR BLUE!  Help us celebrate the many roles we can ALL play in EVERY community, strengthening ALL families; thereby preventing child abuse and neglect before it happens. Come meet your elected representatives and let them know how they can help build a Colorado for kids.

8:00 - 9:30 am: Check in as a guest for CASA, Legislative breakfast (coffee and bagels, North Foyer)
Come meet your elected representatives and let them know how they can help build a Colorado for kids!  

9:30 am - 12:00 pm: Press event followed immediately by activities on the floor of the Colorado Senate and House.
Resolutions will be read, unsung heroes will be recognized by Governor Polis, and hundreds of participants are expected with pinwheels!

12:00 pm - 2:00 pm: Legislator lunch sponsored by CASA, Jenny Bender will Emcee, hear from CDHS Executive Director Michelle Barnes share her experience as a CASA volunteer in Jefferson County and CDHS Office of Children Youth and Families Executive Director, Minna Castillo Cohen, speak on Families First (West Foyer)
