Implicit Bias Training with Bridging the Gap, a project of Denver’s Office of the Independent Monitor. Nina Horton from Denver’s Bridging the Gap Program will present a training for CASA volunteers on how implicit bias shapes our interactions in life. All humans have bias—it’s not always a bad thing. Awareness of our bias helps us to form deeper relationships and to be stronger advocates. This training will provide a supportive space to explore concepts of implicit bias and identify some real life examples of how implicit bias impacts CASA work.
